Just wondering if anyone thinks Apple will make one. That would be right up my alley in terms or size and cost. 17" is affordable but too small - 22" is a great size but more than i want to spend...

I don't think so, they don't really need 4 monitors.

Yes there is a big gap in price but the difference between the 17 and the 22 but you will not get that much more space with a 19'.

17' with 1280 x 1024 res is very good.

Interesting comment.... I run 1280 X 1024 on a 19" currently... doing the same on a 17" would simply shrink everything down... it may be a little to shrunk for my linking. However because of the viewable area we may not be talking about 2 full inches difference.

Has anyone gone from 1280 X 1024 on a 19" CRT to 1280 X 1024 on a 17" LCD? If so what are your thoughts> Thx!

Here is my prediction for MWNY. This is not insider information, it is just my own opinion on what Apple will do with thier displays.

A 20" Cinema Display will be introduced for $1499. In addition, the 22" Cinema will have a $500 price cut. The 15" Studio will have a $100 price cut. The result?

15" Studio Display - $499
17" Studio Display - $999
20" Cinema Display - $1499
22" Cinema Display - $1999

Again, this is my prediction. It is not based on any kind of insider info
