I'm away on vacation and brought my 2400 for email and of course MacNN! The only modem I have for it is lowly old Megahertz Cruise Card at 28.8 kbps. Sad really. But today I got my hot little hands on a new 3Com 56K PC Card (model 3056) modem but I can't find drivers for the Mac. (I'm running OS 9.1 with 112 MB RAM) US Robotics web site had nothing but wintel .exe files. The software disk was also wintel only.

When the 28.8 Megahertz card is mounted on the desktop it has the little telephone icon on it. The new 56K modem has nothing, just a generic pc card icon. And when I open the modem control panel the 3Com 56K modem is not listed as a connection option like when the old modem is mounted. My only choices are printer/modem port and IR.

Is there anything I can do to use this new 56K modem?
