I recently bought an iMac DV. I upgraded from an old 68K. Apple says "the floppy drive is dead." I say, how am I supposed to use my old software that is only on floppy, Steve?" Especially my Apple QuickTake 100 digital camera driver.
I am aware that fairly inexpensive USB floppy drives are available. But, I own a 1GB MicroNet external hard drive (SCSI) with everything from my old Mac on it. I'd like to attach it to my iMac.
Can anyone tell me about USB to SCSI adapters? Do they work well? Any good brand names. Can you run a SCSI chain from one USB port (with the adapter)?
Also, I think I read somewhere that Firewire to SCSI is available also, all though I couldn't find an adapter for sale. Sounds to me that Firewire would be the way to go if such an adapter exists.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
