my ipod has begun to misbehave to a much greater extent. now, when i start it up it gives me the picture of a folder with an exclamation point with a triangle around it and refuses to start up correctly. it shuts off, and gives the same thing every time. after a few attempted startups like that, the ipod then decided its battery was too low to start up (it was fully charged during the night before). this, coupled with my previous post of the disk check phenomena, is irritating me. i have tried to restore, but the problems persist. is there anything short of returning it that i can do?

no music on the go for the time being. =(

Haven't read your previous post, so i'm wondering what was the result of running your iPod through something like Norton Utilities or through the build-in diagnostic mode?

Have you tried using the ipod restore function on the ipod updater. Thats cleared up a few things for me. If that doesn't do the trick, i'd take it to an apple store genius bar, i hear, they have been good about replacing defective ipods... even out of warranty.
