Anyone out there use OSX and their GPS unit together yet? Have a Garmin Legend and recently donated my left over PC to a family member. Would like to be able to load maps and such still. Also who makes a good serial converter so I can turn one of my USB port into a serial port.

Garmin hates Macs... sad but true. I did not believe it myself until running across this thread a few days ago. I wanted to get a StreetPilot, but probably won't now. It's shame because I hear they are the best.

Sorry, you asked about a converter. This one, I'm told will work fine. You're still not going to be able to use it with OSX, but I would love to be proven wrong.

It's perfect for me but it's not a street program. Anyway...Garmins and Macs go together well in spite of Garmin' lack of support with firmware update availability on the Mac.
