I have an H45 corporation USB CDRW enclosure. It is made for Windows but I am trying to get it to work with my kids iMac. I can't get
Toast or iTunes to see it. Is there any hope?

Possibly . . . what brand is the internal mechanism, if you know? Or the speed of the drive? does ASP recognize anything in the port when it's plugged in and powered on?

Toast would have to see the drive IN the enclosure, via the adapter card. So the driver for the adapter card is important, plus the mechanism in the box must be Toast supported. So, go to the manufacturer's web site and see if they have a Mac driver. If not, it is made to use with Windows. OR find out who made the converter card (inside) and go to THEIR website (maybe in Taiwan) and download a driver. Not many of the converter cards will support CDRW via USB, but you can still look for drivers. You can try versiontracker, too.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

I know the drive is a Goldstar (LG Electronics). The model isn't listed on their web site. I know it is only 2x and was made in 2000. I will open it up and look for the maker of the interface card.

Thanks for the advice. I went to the website of the manufacturer of the case and they had a driver for the mac. I installed it and now it is seen by Toast. Discburner even works!
