HP has come out with a new scanner that is OS X compatible. Scanjet 3500.

I just got a HP 3570c it's slow. and is making everthing else slow. especially entourage takes like a good minute just to show it's loading window. I unhook the scanner and restart and everthing is hunky dory again. anyone know what the deal is with it?

my macs specs 300mhz beige desktop 640 ram 30 gig hd macally USB PCI ATI rage pro 128 video OS X 10.1.5

See my post on this HP ScanJet 3500c and OS X 10.1.5 problem. While it is advertised as OS X compatible, HP support clearly indicated they have received reports it is not working on some OS X systems (on some random macs and no pattern) It is in engineering now to diagnose the problem.
