I have a freind the just got a new computer (don't ask what brand) but he didn't get a monitor, hes in a perdicamen. its a arriving next week and he want to use it when he gets it so he needs to find a cheap monitor (thos P4 suck the money right out of your wallet) hes looking at a Phillips 19" for around 269 but I found him a veiw sonic 19" 1600x1200 for 264 from buy.com (free shipping)

What are your experiance with realativly cheap monitors? any better then others?

You can get a 19" LaCie monitor (Totally flat) refurb from <a href="http://www.lacie.com" target="_blank">www.lacie.com</a> for $299...and shipping is free....quite a good deal, LaCie displays are really quite good.
