I suppose the obvious choice would be the cinema display, but I would like something with a higher resolution and (most important) analog video inputs. Anyone have any ideas?

Check out Viewsonic's "VP-181" (go to www.viewsonic.com). Its a beauty.
We have one at my workplace (JPL in Pasadena).

Has 18.1 inch viewable screen. Takes Analog or Digital input signal.
Supports 1600x1200 max resolution. Is Mac compatible. Ergonomic tilt
options.

Currently sells for about $1680.

I ordered Apple's 17" LCD (with a Cube ... uh oh), and its currently
on its way to my house.

But I'm seriously thinking of sending it back unopened, and digging into
the wallet for a little more to get the VP-181.
