Hi, I have a LaCie 8x4x32 firewire burner and it has worked fine in OSX and 9.1 but I tried to burn a cd the other day from itunes and the tracks were all scratchy and full of static. So I rebooted into 9.1 and burned from toast and had the same probl3ems where there was nevr a problem before. So I reload the drivers and no luck, same problem. Also, the cd I burn cant be recognized by my regular CD drive on either my G4 or G3, but they play in stereos cd players, but full of static. Any ideas what the deal is??

Dirty laser on the burner?

Burn a data CD and see if it reads ok on the computer.

I hate to ask... the audio source doesn't exhibit the same noise does it?
