Here's my problem. I have a password setup for my screen saver. Is there anyway to use the remote for iTunes without comming out of the screen saver? I don't want to have to log in just to adjust the volume or change a song.

No. You must log in to use the remote with anything.

Not really. You're using the computer so it makes sense you have to be logged in. Screensavers are made to be active when you're not using the computer.
