Today I bought a portable disk. I pluged it to the computer and partitioned it and transfered a lot of files into it.
But then when I pluged it in the Linux and use a command " rm *** /media/disc name",
the computer can't read the disc.
Whatever I use the Disc Utility or other softwares, it didn't do any help.
The fact is when I plug it to the computer, it can't be scaned.
What can I do?

rm is delete isn't it?

You probably formatted it to HFS which is why Linux can't read it.
