Has anyone used this mouse yet? It looks like it would really go asthetically with the Powermac and has two button capability with a scroll button in the middle.

I believe it has started to ship.

Nope, it hasn't shipped yet. There are rumors that Apple bought it, and they plan on bundling it with their computers, but they're just rumors. If the rumors are true, however, it would explain why it's not shipping yet.

I have seen this advertised for a while and I'm looking forward to this one myself, but no word when it will ship. I'm on their e-mail notification list when it does ship. You can sign up at their website.

CompUSA's website has it listed in stock at several locations in the New York metro area.

I called a couple of them but was told that they did not have them.

i went to a local compUSA (Wash. DC) and they had a display model and had a few instock.

HOWEVER, i was very dissappointed with the mouse. it's not ergonomic. when you use a mouse, your plam arcs up. the studio mouse, however is very blocky and does not follow the contour of your (atleast my) hand.

This is my experience. i recomend you go and TRY ONE OUT before you buy it. maybe i'm just the exception to the case.

TRY IT OUT

I'm the ASC @ CompUSA here in Florida, we got about 20 of the mice in, and in two days, there was one left which I stashed in the back in case I wanted it. I put one on demo, and the mouse does have that "Cool" factor to it, but as others have said, its the most ergonomic, but the scroll is neat. I instead bought the logitech dual optical mouseman, and its fantastic, matches my mac quite well, and is very comfortable.
Am I still here?

Is the Kensington Studio mouse any less ergonomic than the Apple mouse that comes with the Powermac?

I tried a Microsoft Internet Explorer wireless optical mouse which did arc the palm of the hand but the Apple mouse seems pretty flat.

the apple pro mouse is perfectly round (not circular, but oval shaped) on the sides, and it is flatter on top, but overall it works well

the kensington studio mouse is more like 2 flat faces with the corners rounded

that's the impression i got. it'd be best if you went and tried it out for yourself
