Does anyone know of a driver that will enable the side buttons of an Intellimouse Optical for an Intel MacBook? I just switched from a G5 system to an Intel MacBook, and the OSX drivers MS provides for the Intellimouse (not updated since OSX 10.2) do not work on the intel-based Mac.

I'm so used to using the side buttons on this mouse, I'm lost without them. If anyone has any suggestions for drivers, or even another mouse with a non-right-hand-centric design with a button on each side and drivers that work on Intel Macs, I'd sure appreciate a pointer.

Is this the driver you have? Download details: IntelliPoint 6.0 for Mac OSX

If this is not the right mouse then go to microsoftmactopia.com and look around. I am sure they have one.

No, it wasn't. I was just being braindead - kept finding only the 5.1 driver on MS website until AFTER I made the post. The 6.0 driver works great.

Just had to register to say thx! Like throatmonster there, I kept finding the 5.1 drivers on both MS and Apples sites. I was about to give up
