going mouse shopping this weekend, i cannot handle the single button any longer. i really thought apple would release a new mouse @ MWNY, but they have let me down. i realize they may with the new Power Macs, but then it will be $60 USD. i bet i can find a great mouse that is supported in OS X without additional software for cheaper. suggestions please ..

i'm looking at a logitech optical mouse that retails for around $25 USD.

Yup, the logitech is nice. I have a Intellimouse Explorer and would highly recommend one, I also need another new mouse (and KB) soon, think i'll be buying another Intellimouse.
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

which intellimouse are you using? i'm looking at <a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/ComputersPeripherals/MiceKeyboards/MiceTrackballs.asp?m=488&cat=549&scat=550" target="_blank">Best Buy</a> and i see several. the logitech one that i have used and am thinking about purchasing is <a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11008571&m=488&cat=549&sc at=550" target="_blank">this one.</a> I like it because i have used it with OS X and no additional software, i hated this mouse in OS 9. how does the intellimouse work with OS X? do you have additional software/drivers installed?

on a side note : yahooo, post #100

I got a Microsoft Whellmouse Optical for $8 ($18 with $10 mail-in rebate) at OfficeMax. Absolutely fantastic deal, great tracking, great wheel and very ergonomic. No complaints.

Kensington has great OSX support, so you may also want to take a look at one of their models.

I have a $50 Kensington Turboball which I love. It's well built and, as I said, the software is great.

I am using the logitech cordless mouseman, absolutely love it, great feel to it, there is a also a corded version of the some mouse. I would recommend this model over the one your looking at because the wheel is much smoother. The corded one is about $50.

Cordless:

Best mouse ever made here:
<a href="http://www.colorcase.com/mice.html" target="_blank">Click Here</a>
It has two buttons and a wheel + OS X SUPPORTED!!! I use a program called USB Overdrive X to control all the functions of this mouse. I have it set so that when you press down on the scroll wheel it opens IE.
