I was going to buy one of these on ebay, but it said compatible with blue and white G3 adn G4 macs. I need a 4 port high bandwidth (12MBX4) USBcard, but it's for a 6500. Has anyone used this card with older macs, and/or does anyone know of a card like this that DOES work with older PCI macs?

I've installed an Entrega 4-port USB PCI card in my non-USB Beige G3 and it works great. I assume the 6500 has one PCI slot available. OS 8.1 or higher is recommended for these types of cards. Some of them come with the USB drivers for the Mac or otherwise you can go to the Apple Support website and download the latest USB drivers for PCI USB cards.

Also, I've seen the Belkin 4-port card at CompUSA (if one is close by) so you can probably get one to try and if not, return it.

The entrega shares bandwidth, the belkin has 12 MBps for EACH port.

Didn't claim it did but yes, you are absolutely correct. I realize it doesn't exactly address your question but I just wanted to share my experience for what it's worth.
