Can iSight double as a microphone?

By this I mean can I record audio directly into GarageBand or in some way extract the audio from iMovie and import it as an mp3 or some other audio format to garage band?

Thanks.

no you can not, due to the fact that the iSight is not 44.1

as far as extracting audio from iMovie, I dont know if that is possible or not. you can however, find a program that iSight audio is able to be recorded onto, and THEN transfer that into Garageband
