Greetings,
Canon announced new scanners this past week.

According to PCWorld, the LiDE 30 is considered the successor to the CanoScan N1240U.

Does anyone have more information on these scanners, and in particular the comparison? I was all set to buy the 1240U today, but in doing some research, came across the information about the LiDE 30. Not only is it newer, it comes with a newer software bundle, supports USB 2.0, and claims to have a better signal to noise ratio than their previous model (which I assume to be the N1240U).
It is about $30.00 less expensive than the N1240U too. It is available for pre-order and should be available by the end of July.
