I have a G4533DP (OS9.1) with a handspring visor and a brother lazerwriter. Quite often when working on something completely unrelated, I get a message to insert Palm disks. This will occur quite often even when palm is not open and running - but does more so when desktop is open but not being worked on at the time. Also, with my brother cd in and trying to access acrobat files, the insert palm disk message would appear and the computer would then eject the cd. I would cancel the palm message and close the cd drawer, but the computer would continually eject the cd and ask for the palm disk. I could not get access to acrobat files on a cd until I opened and reclosed Palm desktop. I am at a loss as to how to keep palmdesktop from looking at the cd/rw constantly and asking for the palm disk, when there are none. I should also say that I have the visor cradle connected to the keyboard and the printer to the back of the G4.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
