I am having problems with my keyboard typing, and staying connected to my Mac. My mouse works fine. I have had the keyboard replaced, just to have the same problems. I took the mac and the keyboard in to have it looked at, and the Apple Geniuses could not duplicate the problem over 2 days.

What could be doing this?

The Genius said that it could be a fan or a microwave or something with a motor in the room. Well in my office I have no fan or microwave. He then asked about my printer. I have an HP 2600n Color Laser. He said that the printer could be the problem because it has a motor.

Does this sound right? Any other suggestions on how to fix this?

Your computer also has motors in it. I wouldn't accept that that is the problem. I have plenty of electric motors in my room and never have had a problem, and I've never heard of such problems.

Any strange third party apps installed? Is your mouse a third-party bluetooth mouse?
Delete all profiles for the keyboard and mouse, re-download any bluetooth updates, and re-pair the devices, but I'm guessing that's already been done.

Yea all of thats been done... both are Apple that came with the iMac... I can't figure it out. I have no other Bluetooth devices in my house, just the mouse and the keyboard.
