Try adding someone to your iPod contacts who has the e-mail address firstname.lastname@localfriendlyisp.com... then try looking up that person on your iPod and sending an e-mail to the address iPod gives you.

Unfortunately, it probably won't work because the chances are firstname.lastname@localfriend is not a valid e-mail address.

No customizable EQ presets is one thing, but when half the e-mail addresses in my contacts list are truncated, iPod 1.1 is turning out to be one rather big bug!

(Strangely enough, an e-mail address of that length in the Notes section is correctly wrapped. iPod 1.1.1 is rather urgently required me thinks!)

Hmm, and here was me thinking the iPod was an MP3 player, not a PDA!

[Disclaimer: Yes, I know there's software to allow you to use iPod as an address book, but when it's not been designed for that, you can hardly call this a bug]

So even though Apple's web site clearly states, "The new iPod has a Contacts feature that lets you view names and addresses downloaded from applications like Microsoft Entourage, Palm Desktop and Mac OS X Address Book for easy access to your personal information, wherever you happen to be", I can't call this a bug? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Come on. It's more than just some shareware app now. Apple is marketing this as a headline feature of the iPod!
