It's just occurred to me that Apple's AppleCare programme for "G4 plus display" only covers a monitor purchased at the same time as the G4 CPU. Unfortunately, for those of us who lack the cash to purchase (say for example) a Cinema Display, but hope to save up and get one in the future, this means that there's no way to extend the warranty on it.

Any solutions? Or is this another pitfall of Apple's support programme? I think the problem hits Cinema Display purchasers hardest, as it's big LCDs that would really justify an extended warranty contract!

I'm going to move this discussion topic to the Lounge, since it is about Apple's support service, not about the displays themselves.
