I bought the Sound Sticks to play MP3s and games, and what did I just discover? They don't work with my games? Specifically, Star Trek Voyager:Elite Force (based on Q3) doesn't work with them!!

Has anyone else had this problem? I would really appreciate any help.

if they are working otherwise (and specifically, especially if they work for you with other games (do you have Q3-proper by any chance?)), then it sounds to me like the problem is with STV:EF not working with the SoundSticks, rather than the SoundSticks not working. If this is the case, and it's a matter of getting sound to work with that particular game, you soould try posting in the Games forum.

FWIW, my soundsticks work just fine under normal 9.1 and also Q3. I don't have the game you mentioned but everything I play seems to use them. You might want to make sure that under the sound control panel you see the soundsticks instead of something else. Could be a fluke that they're working at all, and the computer really doesn't recognize them.

I am going to post this in the games forum. Look there if you have any suggestions.
