I'm planning to get a
DVIator to hook up either a Cinema Display 22" or Apple Studio Display 17" to a PC. Any tips / things to be wary of?
I'll need to upgrade the PC's video card - will any DVI-equipped card based on a GeForce 2 MX chipset be okay?
The reason that I want to get an Apple flat panel and go to the trouble of converting the ADC connector is that work requires me to use a PC more, but I'd like to keep Mac-compatible peripherals wherever possible so that I can shuffle between them, not to mention the generally high quality of Apple equipment. (That, and doing my small bit to keep the company viable - I don't think Apple's profit will be too good this quarter.)
The Dr Bott site suggests the DVIator + PC + DVI video card solution is quite feasible, but notes some "issues" without actually going into them, so any first hand advice would be appreciated.
