I'm trying to find the best online deal for a 1 gig microdrive. A store with FedEx would be preferable.

Thanks

The cheapest places I've found so far have been:
http://www.digi4me.com
http://www.cititronics.com
http://www.str8buy.com

All sell for under $300
However I'm not sure if they're reliable.
any input would be appreciated

I've purchased from no less than 25 different online computer part vendors, and never got charged for something I didn't receive, if that's what you are asking regarding "reliability." 3 worst cases: 1 had something out of stock for 2 years and still don't have it in stock. (this is a book actually, spanish version of "the little prince".) 1 was out of stock at the time of order and didn't have any stock for over a month, so I never heard from them nor got charged by them again. 1 was shipped out 10 days after the order when they have the item in stock, and shipped out the wrong method when I paid $20 extra for shipping, which I'll be refunded for. Oh, yeah, after 4 years of purchasing online, my credit card got compromised twice though...Once was Egghead, and once recently not knowing how, but Visa company's nice 'bout these things, just a little hassle.

As for the reliability of the Microdrive, its IBM, your call. IBM used to be the bar of excellence until their usage-hour rating on the GXP harddrive fiasco, so I no longer trust their products, but that's just me.

So final word...I like the package from cititronics and their website looks professional enough to be a good vendor.
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
