I've got $3600 to spend on a computer + monitor. I'll get the dual gig for $2600, and I was thinking about the LaCie Electron Blue 22". Before I heard of the LaCie, I was going to save up for the Apple Cinema 22". Anyone had any real experience with LaCie vs. the Cinema? I would get the $500 rebate, so I'll end up getting the Cinema for ~ $1650. Last quesion, is the Cinema display really that much easier on the eyes than the Lacie running @ ~100 Hz? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
(btw, I work for Apple, so I get discounts, hence the weird prices)

Am I still here?

I just got a reconditioned LaCie 21" for $399. When I bought it they had some of the current Electron Blue III 22" available reconditioned for $779, and the older 22" Diamond Blues for $479. Are those the kind of wierd prices you like?

How do you like the quality of the LaCie? Is it easy on your eyes? Thanks for the reply.
(the weird prices were for the dual gig and the cinema)

I love the LaCie and I'm sure the current models are even better.
I find it easy on my eyes and very sharp, but I haven't tested it alongside the Studio Display. I do know it doesn't flicker like the Dell I have on my work desktop!
Another thing is LaCie seem like a good company. I got mine refurbished and when it arrived I found they had forgotten to include the hood and the instruction disc. I dropped them an e-mail and they have FedExed the items by return without any fuss or argument.
