In the newer perfection series with epson scan software? I have an older one and it can't. I just got a canoscan 670U but it's way slower than my old epson and I think it's going back. I'm using in under X with omni page which I'm not thrilled with either since all I want to do is scan multipage docs, not do OCR. Thanks for any suggestions

I can't really help you on the multipage doc question, but MacWorld just put out a review of midrange scanners. They gave the Epson Perfection 1650 Photo (MSRP US $249) the highest marks, saying it was the fastest and produced the best quality prints and images. I'm thinking of getting either the 1650 or 1650 Photo, but don't really know the difference. I do know that Epson sells a refurbished 1650 for $149 on their website. There is also a $30 rebate on the 1650 and $50 on the 1650 Photo, but don't know if they apply to refurbs. Hope someone else can answer your question!
