Quick question, I know you can use the iPod as a firewire hard drive to backup information, but how do you get it to do that? Just some simple instructions please! thanx

PS - Im asking because the 10GB iPod is extremely tempting as my mp3 player and as a backup drive for my titanium! thanx again

Or don't open iTunes and just plug in the iPod and when it shows up on the desktop simply double click it and drag anything into it that you want. I am running in OS X; by the way, if that helps. I thought that once you plugged in the iPod that iTunes was supposed to automatically open up and import songs but I have had no such luck.
Be sure and click on the iPod icon when done and EJECT it or you could loose data. You can also drag the iPod icon to the trash and that will eject it also.
