I just got the mic and have a silly question... does it matter which face of the microphone you're talking into? I have tried looking for pictures but a lot of them are arranged differently. I have never used a recording microphone before so hence the question... I know it has a directional pickup (hyper-cardioid) and picks up sound best from one direction... I'm just confused which side of the microphone is acctually the "front" side... or does it not matter which side is facing you...

It does matter, and you speak into the side with the logo facing you.

I.e., this is the vocalist's view:
