I did some maintenannce on my iMac DVse today, went from OS 9.0 to 9.1, updared iTuunes, and downloaded the Diskburner utility.

Now, Toast software wont recognize my Yamaha external CD burner...why did I think somewhere in my head that this was a known issue...

iTunes recognizes the burner just fine???

help..

well, it was an extensions conflict

I had to turn off firewire authoring support and usb authoring support extensions for this to work properly

now toast and itunes both recognize my burner

can anybody tell me what these extensions are necessary for?
