If someone buys an iPod from a Apple Retail store or any third-party retailer (maczone, macmall...), can we get the laser engraving from them? I want to get an iPod, and I would like to have a custom engraving. I'm wanting to buy it at the Apple Store grand opening in Atlanta next month. If they don't do engraving, then the online store gets my business.

Any thoughts?

now that would be cool! and it would be completely feasible, if they got a laser engraving machine, and someone to operate it.

i'm sure you could probably bring your iPod into a jeweler who had one of these machines...but i don't know if apple will say that you voided your warranty.
