I am having problems printing photos with color anywhere close to the actual photo (what I see on my display). I have a FP iMac with an Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX. I have tried using ColorSync with poor results. I suspect it is because I don't have ColorSync set up properly. What is the difference between Input, Output, and Proof? These are probably dumb questions but I am a new mac user.
When I use Epson Natural Color, I get better results but still not perfect. In theory, which should be better?
Lastly, when I use the ColorSync utility and verify profiles, I get errors with my white point. When I select repair, I get a message saying the files are locked and cannot be repaired. I don't see a lock icon to go and use my login password to allow the repair. What gives?
Well this is it, I promise. Are there any good high-quality reference photos available on the web to calibrate my printer. I only have a 1.5 mega pixel camera and my photog skills aren't the best.
Thanks for the help in advance!
