15" $600
17" $1,000
22" $2,500

Does anyone think these prices are going to drop again any time soon?
How much?

I'm thinking about loosing my 17" Studio CRT for a 17" Flat panel.
I can use the extra inch of viewable, and I would love to have my room be that much cooler, and I'd love to save that much more fossil fuel, and I'd love to have my desk back!! But back to the point, LCD Prices, anyone? (Apple LCD's, not any other ones)

I traded my 17" CRT for a 17" Flat.

I can't tell you how happy I am with my purchase!
The screens seem to update faster; and as super as the 17" CRT image is (it's the best CRT I ever owned) the 17" LCD is FAR FAR superior.)

I wish I didn't get to see one at the CompUSA. I'd still have an extra $1000 in my pocket. But, once I saw it I *HAD* to own it. (Oh yes, she shall be mine!) I absolutely do NOT regret this purchase.

I was wondering the same thing. I am in exactly the same boat. I am hoping that with the new iMac the LCD's would drop as well. I won't get anything smaller than a 17", but I can't pay $1000 on a new monitor, my 17" CRT serves me well enough. I am not sure where I would need to see the price to buy it. Now that I think about it I probably won't get it unless is drops to $600, which means I probably won't be getting one any time soon. Nuck'in Futs.

Well, Apple's 'Crystal Clear Savings' promotions, which offers a discount on LCD screens purchased with a G4 system, runs till 31 January.

price cuts before then are unlikely, but promotions like these are quite often an indication of things to come...

Yeah, unfortunately they offered that promo soon after I got my new system, and so it goes.
