Well, its maximum resolution of 800dpi if not as good as the current LaserJets' 1200dpi, but it is plenty fast, and supports 11x17" paper (it pulls 8.5x11" paper through sideways, so it prints regular pages FAST!!).
It was, if my memory serves me, one of the first, if not the first, Apple printers to support TCP/IP (which is faster than AppleTalk).
One other thing to keep in mind: this printer is HUGE, and eats a lot of power, so you'll want to shut it off when it's not needed.
