LaCie 8/4/24 - QPS Que! Fire Drive 8/4/32 - Sony Spressa 10/4/32
Any pros / cons would be helpful. Whichever I get I'll probably be using Toast Deluxe.
What do you think?

If you don't mind me suggesting a burner you haven't listed, go for the Yamaha 8424 FireWire. SCSI version is awesome.
Of those, though, it'd be a toss up out of the LaCis and QPS. Find out what mechanisms they use - a lot of LaCie's use Yamaha mechanisms (thats a good thing), but from what I hear, the Sony Spressa should be kept at arms length...
Though, I have no personal experience with those 3 listed burners, so that kinda counts out my opinion...

Picking up from Cipher13's "from what I hear, the Sony Spressa should be kept at arms length...". Sony includes Charismac's Discribe software, which doesn't work worth a damn. Toast, however, works perfectly with it. I picked up a Sony a few weeks ago and after a day of fighting Discribe I removed it and loaded Toast. No complaints, other than Sony should get their act together with their software bundle.
There is a lot of coverage of the Sony Spressa on http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/.

I know this is not a reply to the original post. But my question is similar to the original post, so I put it here.
Does anyone here use an IDE burner with a firewire enclosure? Does it work with Toast?
TIA

I don't, and dont know anyone who does, but theoretically it will work with Toast with no probs.

Regarding IDE in a Firewire box - that's my understanding, as well. I bought a Pyro enclosure for a 60 GB hard drive at the same time I bought the Sony Spressa. The enclosures are identical, except for the color. Same feet, same curves, stack perfectly, etc.
Regarding 80 minutes - apparently Sony only does 78.5 minutes.
