HI,
I'm looking for a digital camera (still photography) and I really want to get one from Sony. Anybody can tell me what models are compatible with Macs (I have B&W G3/StarMax). Also, how can I read memory sticks on Macs, if it is possible.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know why you want a Sony camera, but I think the cameras made by Kodak are quite good. You may want to find out about the Kodak DC240i cameras, they are available in five fruity flavors, USB connection and Mac and PC compatible, what more could you want? Go to http://www.kodak.com/US/en/digital/c...SGateway.jhtml and click on a link there.

I recently bought a more affordable Kodak digital camera, it came with a cable to connect the camera to a TV to view the pictures on it like a slides show. A serial cable to connect the camera to a serial port, either the printer port or the modem port, on my Mac. A memory card to hold the pictures. Three CD-ROMs, one divided into a Mac and a ISO9660 partition and each contain programs for transferring the pictures from the camera into the Mac or PC. Two other CD-ROMs, one is Mac and one is ISO9660 for PC and each contain Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0 and Adobe PageMill 3.0 for each computer.

Sony seems to be pushing the Mavicas and while they are pretty nice, they record images to floppies using JPEG compression. Even at the highest quality, you can only fit 6 images per disk, and if you've got an iMac you'd need an external USB floppy drive.
If you DO want a good sony digital camera, I have worked with the Mavica-83 and it's pretty nice.
