I Have PowerMacG3 266 and am thinking about expanding my storage with at least a 30GB IDE drive. Any advice about what IDE PCI card and Drive to buy would be greatly appreciated.

I have always had good service from Adaptec cards.

There aren't many PCI cards for IDE drives for Mac, but Adaptec makes one and the SCSI cards I have from them are solid products.

Sonnet makes the Tempo UltraATA/66 card for Macs that supports up to 4 devices. It is about $88 at buy.com. I just ordered mine. It is backordered right now. This is the cheapest card I have seen out there for a Mac. It doesn't do RAID, but it doesn't sound like that is what you are looking for. If you did need to do that, VST has a card for RAID. As for a drive, I recommend the IBM Deskstar drives. They are super fast and have some great reviews. IBM should be shipping in large volumes by the end of the month.
