Hope you can help me out here:

I had some (known) trouble with a Yamaha CDR200t on a G4 agp 350mhz w.
Adaptec 2940UW. I discoverd that the firmware was '1.0k' so I flashed it
to the latest that I could find '1.0q'.
Now it will start writing it's lead in, do some Led flashes and then freezes the system. Extensions off/on/ Jam or Toast 4.0 Deluxe/ Simulation mode: all without any difference.

Did I kill it ?
Can I re-flash it ? Init it ? Test it ?
Or stop being old fashioned and buy me a new one ?

PS: the trouble I had before were less serious: it reported a 'Track Following error' and most of the time would then continue and deliver a perfect CD...

I am not sure what happened to your CDR but you might try to "reflash" it Maybe from a DOS-machine.... Version 1.0q works for me perfectly.

There is another interesting fact about this specific CDR. By removing a resistot it actually becomes a CDR400t ;-)!

Same price faster burning!
Worrked perfectly look at: http://www.seas.ucla.edu/~naveen/yamaha.html

Have fun!
