Sorry for the stupid question, but is it possible to run tv cable to my mp g4 and be able to watch on my cinema display?

I think its a card or something to add to my g4, but I don't know what its called.

Thanks for any help!

Formac ( http://formac.com/ ) make a PCI TV card with Cable capability, called the ProTV it costs about £60 (don't know how many $$), and yes your stupidity is forgiven

how about usb or firewire solutions? e.g. MyTv. has anyone tried any of those? what precisely would be the advantages of using up a PCI slot?

thanks in advance

The USB solutions are restricted to USB's 15mbs speeds, so can get away with 320x240 pixel resolution at something approaching 30 frames per second (depending on how good their usually basic hardware compression is), wheras the PCI card can chuck a *lot* more data through and are usually way better (especially for the various video-in cards).
The USB gadgets are more convenient though, and can be used on the road with an iBook or Powerbook.
