I know its silly of me wanting the Motorola Q, even if I don't want the smartphone service plan, but honestly, I really don't need (or want) to surf the net on my cell phone. I like the phone itself though!

So is it possible to get the Q without the smartphone service plan?

Gah I know I'm being dumb, but the materialistic side of me begs to differ

BTW, what are some other viable options out there? I'm most interested:

1) AWESOME voice quality.
2) Bluetooth (that is able to sync with a Mac. I heard Verizon has disabled their bluetooth features with the RAZR's. I wouldn't mind getting a RAZR, but I'd like the bluetooth option, and their phones are way too slow!).
3) Sharp, clean looking screen.
4) Speaker phone.

The above are a must. I could do without a camera, but it would be a nice additional feature. It would be ideal for me to sync with the phone to use iCal, but it seems like most smart phones don't sync with Macs. I'd really like to be able to sync with my Mac to mainly use iCal and upload pictures taken with the built in camera.

Sorry for being very picky, but I would definitely appreciate the help! My service ends in about a week, so I'm in the market for a new phone

i have the Q, and it is not possible to not get a data plan

however, you can get a pay-as-you-go data plan...and just never use it! it is 0.00 a month if you dont use it, and this is exactrly what i do. i dont use the internet or e-mail on ti either, just mainly for its pda purposes and such. i love the phone, all i need a bluetooth headset and i'll be set.
blah

Interesting! That is the best news yet! I'm guessing I won't be able to take advantage of their new plan activation deal then right? ($99 after rebate?)
