hey guys!

i plan to buy a new external firewire hard drive before i leave for school next week, and want to save some money, and so intend on following the suggestions i have heard to use a kit a build my own, using an IDE drive......

my question is, are there any retail stores that sell these kits? i know i can order them online, but i don't have a credit card, and so am looking for a retail chain that might have them. any ideas?

oh, and i've heard of three kits--pyros, mcally's, and clubmac's.......are there any cheaper ones out there?
