Anyone have one? I have read really great reviews and bad ones. Customer service and support seems to be the biggest issue! but, from what I read, It seems to be alot better. The Visor Deluxe model for Mac does not come with expense or email software and is only available through 3rd party software. Anyone know which software works with the Visor Deluxe? Thanks for anyones suggestions.

The Visor Deluxe is a great device! I just got mine a couple weeks ago. I didn't have any shipping problems, infact it came sooner than it was supposed to. Also, since the 27th, they have been available in stores. I the only three retail stores selling them so far are Staples, Best Buy, and Comp USA. You'll probably have to ask to see one, but they should have them. It works so well with my Mac, and hotsyncing is very fast with the USB cradle. Well you can go to www.palmgear.com for any software you need. I don't use expense or e-mail on my Visor, but I know you can. Oh, the Visor is capable of running any palm OS application, so anything you can use on a Palm III/V, you can use on the Visor. My favorite programs so far are AvantGo and CSpotRun. AvantGo just released a Mac version and it works great! Everytime you hotsync (as long as you are connected to the internet) it retrieves updates to webpages that you specify. So you can just hotsync, take your Visor, and read the webpages whenever you get the chance! You can go to avantgo.com for more info. CSpotRun is neat. It's just a text viewer, but you can have it scroll for you while you read, so you never have to do anything. You can download books to read and use that program. The books are mostly classics and you can get them at www.memoware.com. You should be able to find CSpotRun at palmgear. I love my Visor, and I highly recommend it! It's faster and more affordable than other PDA's. Plus it comes in different colored cases, I've got the blue one, very nice.

You might try posting this message at the www.visorcentral.com bulletin board. There may be posts there already that have to do with expense.

I was checking out the Visor at Staples the other day. I noticed that it is capable of ir exchange. Will this work with a Rev. B iMac? I seem to remember reading something about it, but can't remember what it was.

Yes, it has an IR port just like a Palm. I don't own an iMac so I don't know whether or not you can do that. I'm sure it is capable, whether or not the software supports it is a different story. I do recall hearing something about beaming info rather than hotsyncing it, maybe this was reffering to the iMac. Actually my only point was to say that if you can do it with a Palm you can do it with the Visor.

Hotsync via IR with early iMacs is possible. For instructions, see Go2Mac.com (message boards or search the news section) or MacInTouch.com.

Wired HotSyncs are faster and more reliable, though.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

I would have to agree that the visor is one of my best purchases this year. I haven't even fully used its capabilities yet, but it is great to have around instead of little pieces of paper that always get lost...

I heard that there was going to be a wireless card for the Visor soon. Anyone know whether it will be Airport compatible ? (and how soon, how much etc.)

Yes, there will be a IEEE 802.11 springboard module from Xircom.

As well as wired ethernet and bluetooth. It should rock. Awaiting my visor now...
