Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Apple pro keyboard is compatiable with the Windows because I am thinking about buying a USB/monitor/keyboard switch and would like to use my mac components instead of buying new ones. THanks

IT'll work, you just won't be able to right-click anything, which is a huge pain in the ass. CTRL-click doesn't do it in Windows like in the Mac OS.

dude... you can right-mouse click in the windows environment, and if you load the MS (and, perhaps, the other guys drivers/mouse combos), you can right mouse click in both OS9/X.

I have a Belkin USB KVM switch and use two PCs, one Cube, and One TiPB. No problems what-so-ever. I use a PC keyboard, but have plugged in the Mac USB keyboard and it works fine -- except you don't get the "windows" keys.

One challenge that exists with my scenario is that Mac OSX locks up my KVM from time to time. All four machines are booted and running just fine. I can switch between the windows and the OS9 machine all day long with no problems. And I can switch between the OSX box with no problems most of the time. Sometimes after switching away from the OSX box (the Cube), the KVM fails to recognize the mouse/keyboard on the other machines.

Damn. I've talked to Belkin at length on this and they haven't admitted it is a problem, but do suggest that there is a firmware release for the KVM coming. Not here yet...

Thanks, yeah, I am only going to be using 9.1 since my beige g3 doesn't currently run mac os x to fast and no real advantages are currently availble for running mac os x, even slower than 9.1 so i'm going to wait for X to get better maybe in a year or so.

When I first read this thread I though it was for using a Pro Mouse with a PC. What I meant was that you have to right-click alot in Windows, but you can't just ctrl-click like in the Mac OS to replicate a right-click.

I'll slow down and actually read the titles of threads from now on...
