Anyone know how to setup intellimouse explorer for gaming? In games that use inputsprocket I disable intellipoint software, and it works ok. Doing this however disables the two sidebuttons and the mousewheel, havn't gotten a single game to recognize them.

Is there an inputsprocket for this mouse? so you can setup all the 4 buttons and the wheel?

I purchased the same mouse and found that removing the MS drivers and installing Alessandro Levi Montalcini's USB Overdrive 1.3 fixes the problem with Quake 3.

USB Overdrive worked for me too. It's altogether better than Microsoft's drivers which not only wigged out in Quake and Unreal, but Quark among others. USB Overdrive fixed everything.

USB Overdrive is a must for anyone considering an aftermarket USB mouse. It's a more configurable & compatible driver than most (all?) OEM ones.

I've used it with a Logitech MouseMan Wheel, Kensington USB Wheel Mouse, & Razer Boomslang 1000. It handled them all immediately & transparently.

I find the fact that USB Overdrive is better than Microsoft's drivers strange, due to the fact that Microsoft's drivers are an OEM version of USB Overdrive. Is the USB Overdrive OEM in Microsoft's drivers older than the full version? This is probably the case. Anyone know for sure?

Where can I get these drivers? I have a Intelli eye mouse and would love to get my hands on them. If they work better than the Intellimouse drivers for the MAC. I've had to reinstall the intelli driver's from MS more than a few times.

I don't get it. This dosn't change anything. I've installed USB Overdrive, and it works ok. However mouse in UT etc wont move, so I define a custom set for UT in Overdrive and select disable Overdrive mouse for this app.

Now I'm back where I started with only 2 buttons working, of 4 + wheel.

I also was not having success with UT and my new IntelliMouse Explorer, until I read this thread yesterday. I installed USB OverDrive 1.3, removed the three extensions that get installed with the IME and restarted.
Within UT I first went through the Options:>Preferences:>Controls and confirmed that fire was set to Mouse Click (it seemed to be defaulting to Ctrl).
I then went through the Input device configuration and used the (non Apple) USB device settings there.
All buttons seemed to be available including the wheel (pressing the wheel was middle button).
My personal setup is L=Fire, R= Alt fire, B4=Jump, B5=Crouch, Wheel=Scroll through weapons. This has been working fine, I only need to get the upgrade for my brain to handle it.

how do you do this? I only have one mouse to choose from at the input sprocket setup menu; "USB Mouse". And it only has 3 buttons, and no wheel.

I've installed GameSprockets 1.7.3 over and over again, but I only get one device in games.
