Just wondered if anyone has this Lexmark Z32 printer, and is it comparable to my Epson 740 I all ready own?
The reason I ask is because I am selling my imac on Ebay to get a new G4, and am thinking of just throwing in the Epson 740 since I get the Lexmark free anyway.
My 740 does a decent job on photos with photo paper, does the Lexmark?

Two things you should do:

1) Go look for consumer rating on the Lexmark on sites that sell it. Try CNET or Amazon. You will see many more responses than you will ever get on here.

2) Get it anyway since its free and if you don't like it... Give that away with your eBay auction.

The Lexmark Z32 is one of the printers I sell a fair number of to home users. It does a great job on text, almost as good as some lasers I've seen. I have owned two previous Lexmark inkjets, the Z5100 and Z5200 (I think these are correct, but it's been 18 months), and they also printed as well as my HP LaserJet 5 at the time. The Lexmarks fall a little short in "photo" printing, however, and they really aren't designed for that use. They are designed as entry level consumer printers. In general, Epsons do a better job at color work, and Lexmarks do a better job at text work. IMHO the Z32 is at least as good as a 740.
