I'm looking for a 3.5" firewire HD enclosure that is bus powered, or switchable either bus power, or external. I can't seem to find one. Do any of you know where one is avalible?
Thanks!

I don't think there is one as HD of that size tends to use a lot more power. FWdepot has one SK 3.5 FW enclosure that has a built in power supply though.

Me thinks the case is for 2.5" drives where you have the option of using external power via an adaptor or powered via FW.
I have never come across a 3.5" case that claims to be able to power a drive via the FW cable. They all seem to need a external power suppy - probably due to the power requirements of the larger drives.

3.5" devices require more power than the bus provides. Currently there is no such thing as a bus-powered 3.5" drive.
