Hello!

I need a custom USB to parallel cable for an ALPS printer (NON STANDARD). Does anyone know if a standard USB to parallel adapter has any electronics in it or is it just a cable? If it is just a cable with no logics in it then it would be possible to rewire one?

Thanks

mac

Lucent sells the chip inside the cables. So, yes there's electronics.

Check out the PowerPrint adapter from Strydent (www.strydent.com). They have a compatibility chart on their website that will tell you if your particular one will work with the adapter or not. This is the best option out there, short of a manufacturers own adapter.
