I'm curious about this drive, because I've read some bad things about the Que! drives here, and I'm not sold on their reliability. Anybody have this particular drive?

Another question, related to the first... are there any "true" FireWire drives on the market? By "true" I mean that they're not in a case that converts FireWire to IDE or SCSI.

TIA,
Bernie

There's no "true" Firewire drives. All the Data drives (ie HD,CDRW, et al.) are IDE interfaces. They're all cased in a drive with a firewire-ide bridge. But remember that these drives are also UDMA/33 or UDMA/66 and not your pokey old IDE drives! As of such I haven't seen any kind of firewire-scsi bridge available.
