Hey all. I have a Yamaha CRW8424SX-VK cd re-writer on my Power Mac 5500/250. I have used Toast 3.5.7 OEM, 4.0 Deluxe and 4.0.2 deluxe, and the two just won't talk!!
I constantly get errors about an unstable scsi interface, and if i get past that stage then it either gives be a buffer underrun (even though Yamaha says the 8424 eliminates that), or the spinning beach ball just keeps on going forever.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I have OS 8.6, with Virtual memory on. The cache size for Toast is 32 megs. I have 32 megs physical RAM and 96 altogether (with virtual). I have tried starting without certain extensions and with virtual off.
If anyone can help with this it would be GREATLY appreciated!
There are other probs with it, or if you need more details, i'll get them.
Thanks in advance.
