I
do know the difference...
The difference is that the Nomad Jukebox C includes only one set of rechargable batteries and does not include the headphones and the "pleather" carrying case... Supposedly, the Nomad Jukebox C wasn't supposed to include any pre-installed mp3s but it had the standard set that in installed on the regular Jukebox...
All in all, I think that the Nomad Jukebox C is a better deal because I've heard that the headphones that are included with the Jukebox are very poor quality (and I would never use that case). I picked up a Nomad Jukebox C from
www.outpost.com back in about May and I've enjoyed it. The batteries only get about 3-4 hours on a charge (with normal "AA" batteries getting considerable less) so I highly suggest picking up a lighter adapter from Radio Shack so that you can power it in the car (where I primarily use my Jukebox)... There are no physical differnces between the regular Jukebox & the Jukebox C, just the accessories included...
Save yourself some money and get the "C"...

P.S. As for recording on the Nomad, I don't know if I would really suggest it... I don't know of a way (and I could be way off on this) to get the .wav file you record off the Jukebox and onto your computer. For that type of need, I would recommend going with something like MiniDisc for ease of recording, etc. The Jukebox is primarily for playing and storing tons of mp3s... The recording features seems to be an afterthought...
